Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga consists of dynamic Yoga postures that will aid in the development of strength, balance, flexibility, focus, and inner calmness. Learn proper alignment, mindful breathing, how to deal with potential injuries, relax, and have fun!

Yin Yoga

Yoga for the Hips, Pelvis, and Spine is a Taoist type of Yoga that focuses on the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis, and spine. Floor postures are held for extended periods of time (3-5 minutes) to enable deeper opening and are taught at a calm, relaxing pace.

Vinyasa yoga

This form of Yoga connects breath and movement via a creative, flowing sequence of Yoga postures, making it a strong and energetic flow class. Expect to sweat and feel rejuvenated, renewed, and motivated when you leave. Modifications are made at several stages. All skill levels are encouraged to participate.

Restorative Yoga

A truly soothing restorative yoga practise will replenish your body, mind, and soul. Deep yet delicate stretches and relaxing music can help you find peace. The majority of the poses are done on the floor with the use of props like blocks and bolsters. Allow yourself to release and let go.

Moon Yoga

The ability to sync with the natural rhythms is part of Sumba's allure. Enjoy a lunar yoga class with our Resident Yoga Teacher twice a month, on the New Moon and Full Moon days. Setting intentions, manifesting, letting go of old energy, and practising gratitude are all topics covered in these Slow Flow workshops. All skill levels are encouraged to participate.

Private Lessons

Relax and unwind with a tailored yoga session at your own pace. Each lesson is customised to your specific needs and can be held at our Yoga Pavilion or in your private home. No prior experience is required, and all skill levels are accepted.
